note #4

She would never forget the day she got her first camera. In a bright pink colour and taking pictures with no quality. But she loved it, nevertheless. Taking it with her everywhere and documenting everything. The trees, the sky, her brother, her staircase. She felt like the most talented photographer ever.

She would never forget the day she bought her first professional camera. She worked weeks to be able to afford it, babysitting children, cleaning houses and selling coffee. Spend hours researching all models and contemplating which one she should buy. Took days to figure out how it worked and taking pictures of the most mundane things. In the end she had countless pictures of toast and her dog running around the house on her memory card.

She would never forget the day a stranger told her that her pictures were a work of art. She didn’t know what to do for an art project, so she decided to do what she loved most, taking pictures and capturing moments. During the exhibition a stranger came up to her to tell her they really liked her pictures. She would cherish that moment forever.

She would never forget the day she opened her first very own exhibition. After working hard and studying for years she finally got to show her art to the world. She couldn’t quite believe that all this started with a bright pink camera and a girl with a dream.
